RE-GROUPING

This is my favorite volume in the series because of the flashback chapters。 It was extremely adorable seeing all the girls and Futaro as children, along with learning a lot about Yotsuba。 She almost seemed like the sister that was left out, in terms of the overall storyline so this volume was very much appreciated。

Everything comes full circle, such an important part in the series! With the end of the school year around the corner and the things revealed here it really feels like were progressing towards the end game with this volume。 I have given everything from The Quintessential Quintuplets a 5/5 and this is no exception。 Actually, I would say this is the best volume in the series, go read it!

This series is superb。 This book just didn't do it for me。 Yes, it has a couple of nice moments, but I just felt like I was reading something that was just trying to stretch out the time before the ending。 Not wholly a filler book, but it felt enough of one to lose a star。 That being said, still one of my favorite recent series。 Definitely worth a look!Verdict: If you like QQ keep going, even if like me you didn't get much from this, the series is great。 This series is superb。 This book just didn't do it for me。 Yes, it has a couple of nice moments, but I just felt like I was reading something that was just trying to stretch out the time before the ending。 Not wholly a filler book, but it felt enough of one to lose a star。 That being said, still one of my favorite recent series。 Definitely worth a look!Verdict: If you like QQ keep going, even if like me you didn't get much from this, the series is great。 。。。more

Not really a fan of harem romance story ||orz Even if there were a lot of people telling me this series is somewhat different from regular(?) cliche(?) harem stories out there。 I still felt like I am not belong here? Like lost in the harem forest?Jadi paham kenapa teman saya menolak melanjutkan terjemahan ini。 Yep, jelas bukan karena dia "baper" tokoh favoritnya gak dipilih si cowok tokoh utama。 Hoax betul itu。 Not really a fan of harem romance story ||orz Even if there were a lot of people telling me this series is somewhat different from regular(?) cliche(?) harem stories out there。 I still felt like I am not belong here? The questions about the past are finally revealed in this chapter, and you know what I loved it。 I have 2 favorite parts here:1。 When Yotsuba finally admitted to herself that she also loves Futaro2。 When Futaro realized that the quintuplets changed him into becoming a better and more open individual。With that being said, I'm ready for the next volume :) The questions about the past are finally revealed in this chapter, and you know what I loved it。 I have 2 favorite parts here:1。 When Yotsuba finally admitted to herself that she also loves Futaro2。 When Futaro realized that the quintuplets changed him into becoming a better and more open individual。With that being said, I'm ready for the next volume :) 。。。more

Decisions are made, and now, everyone is starting to。。。Futaro comes out of his shell。 The girls have mostly decided what path they wish to pursue。 But who will Futaro choose, in the end? And now he's directing & costarring in an indie film?!?! Waaaaaa? All this, and a trip to both the beach, & the pool, too! Cuteness overload! Art, fantastic。 Dialogue, heartfelt。 Characters, believable, likeable, relatable, adorable。 Decisions are made, and now, everyone is starting to。。。Futaro comes out of his shell。 The girls have mostly decided what path they wish to pursue。 But who will Futaro choose, in the end? It’s pretty crazy to me that what started out as a pretty standard ecchi romance could turn into something so well written。 The art’s become more stylized, but the writing is so sharp in this volume。We start with the fallout of last volume’s huge plot twist, which, as noted, I totally didn’t see coming because this book is ALSO very good at gaming harem manga tropes to wicked effect - see also the outcome of the beach chapter (I know they get away with it because of the chapter after but I feel It’s pretty crazy to me that what started out as a pretty standard ecchi romance could turn into something so well written。 The art’s become more stylized, but the writing is so sharp in this volume。We start with the fallout of last volume’s huge plot twist, which, as noted, I totally didn’t see coming because this book is ALSO very good at gaming harem manga tropes to wicked effect - see also the outcome of the beach chapter (I know they get away with it because of the chapter after but I feel the mangaka would have been shot if there was NO follow through)。So the first part is all flashback and this is something that I normally hate, but here it plays out like the ‘here’s how it happened’ of a cozy mystery and the characterization is excellent - seeing the girls go from five homogenous, happy twins to each having their own unique style as they quietly drift apart is almost heartbreaking in a way。Once we catch up to the present, we see Uesugi finally acknowledge that the girls may have been good for helping him see something in life beyond studying。 We get the requisite butt and boob hi-jinx for the volume (it’s still infinitely tamer than when the series started) and lots of drama in the relationship and life departments。I’ll be sad to see this series go。 It’s turned into something not only exceptional for its genre, but a damn fine manga just in general。 Maybe the biggest plot twist of them all! 。。。more
